WINBC and LifeSciences BC present the BC Wireless Health Forum II
Register now for the second most important mobile eHealth event in Vancouver this year!
The BC Wireless Health Forum, produced by WINBC and LifeSciences BC,
will explore what is driving wireless health technologies, and the
surprisingly swift progress of wireless health to date.
This brief forum begins with presentations from Scott Michaels, VP of client services at Atimi and Rizwan Kheraj, an industrial technology advisor with NRC-IRAP. Both Scott and Rizwan are well-informed, excellent speakers.
Atimi
is a leading developer of applications for smart phones, including
iPhone. This fast-growing Vancouver company (269% growth in the last 4
years) was recently selected by Johnson & Johnson to develop its
CareConnector iPhone project.
The forum will be capped by a
panel discussion on mobile health, featuring representatives from
companies who accompanied WINBC to CTIA Wireless & IT 2009 in San
Diego in October. Those companies were:
- Guard RFID – provides patient and asset monitoring and tracking using RFID technologies
- Intrinsyc – creates embedded, GPS/LBS software for eHealth devices
- Simba Technologies – developers of wireless data connectivity apps, including drivers for Microsoft's HealthVault
- Wireless 2000/Sensiotec – a world leader in developing medical applications using ultra wideband technologies
